Careers - Join the Cardinal Air Duct Cleaning Team

Join Our Team

Most days start early. You load the van, run a quick equipment check – Rotobrush heads, Nikro HEPA vacuum, containment gear – and head to the first job. You meet the homeowner, walk the system, take a before photo, do the work, take an after photo, and hand them a digital invoice before you leave. Repeat. It sounds simple because it is, once you know it. The reason people stay at Cardinal isn’t mystery – it’s that the work is real, the standards are clear, and when a job is done right, everyone in the house can literally breathe the difference.

Cardinal Air Duct Cleaning has been part of the Relay Home Co. family since 2005. We operate across 22 states with local crews who run their jobs to the same standard: written price before anything starts, before-and-after photo documentation, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise on every booking. That last one matters to the techs too – it means we don’t cut corners on the way out the door, because we stand behind the work for a full year.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Air Duct Cleaning Technician: Someone who is methodical, pays attention to what they’re looking at inside a duct system, and takes the before-and-after photos as seriously as the cleaning itself.
  • HVAC Cleaning Specialist: A person who understands how heating and cooling systems move air and can communicate what they find to a homeowner without making it complicated.
  • Dryer Vent Technician: Someone who knows that a clogged vent is a fire hazard, not just an efficiency problem – and treats every job accordingly.
  • Lead Technician / Crew Lead: An experienced hand who can run a van independently, mentor newer techs on-site, and hold the Relay Standard without being reminded.
  • Dispatcher / Scheduling Coordinator: A calm, organized person who can manage a live job board, talk to customers without scripts, and keep crews and homeowners in sync throughout the day.
  • Customer Service Representative: Someone who answers the phone ready to actually help – Cardinal calls are answered by a live person, and the person on that call sets the tone for everything that follows.

What We Offer

Real Training and a Clear Path Forward

We don’t hand you a manual and point at a van. New techs train alongside experienced crew members on real jobs using the actual equipment – Rotobrush rotary brush systems, Nikro HEPA vacuums, Abatement Technologies containment units. You learn by doing, with someone next to you who’s done it hundreds of times. From apprentice to lead tech to running your own route, the path is visible and the steps are real.

Work You Can Stand Behind

Every job Cardinal runs includes a written price before work starts and a 365-Day Done Right Promise. That means you’re never being sent back out on a job that was done on the cheap the first time. The brand’s standards and your standards point the same direction. It’s easier to take pride in work when the company you work for actually holds itself accountable for it.

Local Crew, National Backing

Each Cardinal location is independently owned and operated, so you’re working with a local team that knows its market – not a faceless corporate dispatch. At the same time, you’re backed by a brand operating in 22 states, with supply relationships, equipment access, and the Relay Visibility Guarantee behind you. The support is national; the work is local.

Steady Demand

Air ducts, HVAC systems, and dryer vents don’t clean themselves, and they don’t go out of style. This isn’t seasonal work tied to one product trend. Homeowners, property managers, and landlords need what we do year-round, and that creates reliable, consistent work for people who show up and do it right.

No Experience? Read This.

If you’ve worked in construction, HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, or any trade that puts you in someone’s home with tools in your hand, more transfers than you think. You already know how to read a space, work carefully around someone’s property, and explain what you found without talking over the homeowner. Those habits are harder to teach than duct cleaning.

What we teach is the system: how air moves through a duct network, how to operate a Rotobrush brush head and a Nikro vacuum in sequence, how to document a job with photos the customer and the dispatcher can both use, and how to deliver the Cardinal experience from the first handshake to the digital invoice. The first months are structured – you’re not winging it. You ride along, then you lead with a senior tech watching, then you run your own jobs. The pace is realistic and the feedback is direct. If you’re good with your hands, comfortable in attics and crawlspaces, and want work you can be specific about at the end of the day, give us a call.
